Every time I think about this and how the Mormon Church and outside influences affected this election it makes me furious. I signed the petition and wrote letters, etc. I really, really hope the Prop. is overturned. I hate what it's doing to families and how children, especially are affected. It's just outrageous!

Don't divorce my nephew and his partner.
ReplyDeleteSadly, my sister and her partner just split after 10 years. They weren't legally married, but had made a binding commitment to each other. This is her 3rd major relationship, and she is moving on to another. Her new love just came out for the first time, with my sister, after 25 years of marriage with a man. As my sister said when her breakup happened, 'people who don't allow us to marry may not realize that having no legal bonds makes it easier to move on to another relationship.' I found that sad and true.
I have never understood the threat of gay marriage to those who disagree with it. The sanctity of marriage? Don't 50% of hetero marriages end in divorce?
