All the photos are exquisite, but the first one is absolutely perfect in my eyes...the balance...the way the horns and the trees compliment each other...the colors...the lighting...this is just a WOW ! The color of these antelope is so gorgeous and soothing right now, it's just going straight to my nerve centers that need it. It's my "Rumi color" - the color of every Rumi volume I own, and it's also the color I found is "my color" in a test I took online, which was called "arabesque." Your photos are beautifully composed, and those graceful horns are mesmerizing.
Dear Swampy, Thank you for noticing the details in the first shot. I couldn't believe my luck when these lechwes arranged themselves so perfectly, waiting for their portrait. Most other times when we saw them they looked like the next three shots, sloshing about in the swampy (love that word!) parts of the delta, running away from our Landcruiser.
Just happen to safari onto your blog and Ilove the African wildlife photos. I've never been to Botswana, but lived in Africa for years and have been to the game parks of Kenya and Uganda.
May I be so nosy as to ask where the name Dutchbaby comes from? Your tulips are spectacular too! PS I am Dutch ;)
I saw that your color is Delft. OMG! How uncanny is that! You really do take incredible images, DB. They're beautiful. BTW, I need to find out how old you are. :) If you're older than 40, we need to see you at Vision & Verb! :) Or am I brain-dead and already asked you?
Dear Ginny, I laughed out loud when I got Delft :-D. I'm glad you like these photos; I had never seen covered bridges like these until I came to the US.
