  2. What an inviting picture and so symbolic too. The unspoiled snow leading us toward the tall pine trees as the fresh new year is welcoming us to walk into the clean new path. Have a great 2011 with much happiness.

  10. Happy New Year, my dear Duthchbaby!

That photo is stunning...Ansel Adams worthy, really. I feel as if I could walk into it and disappear. It has to be Yosemite...am I right?

All the best to you and yours in 2011.

  19. Dear Vagabonde,
Thank you for describing the photo so beautifully. I took this on the last morning that my husband and I were in Yosemite National Park last year for our twentieth anniversary. I thought it was a good omen for our next twenty years.

    Bonne Année, Vagabonde!

  25. Dear jeannette,
We were in New Orleans for New Year's Eve this year, so my sister and I went to Cafe Du Monde for a serving of beignets and cafe au lait. The beignets are surprisingly similar to oliebollen, without the apples of course.

Gelukkig Nieuw Jaar and jouw en je gehele gezin!
