I'm proud to report that the above image is straight out of the camera and the following two were cropped but otherwise untouched. This is rare for me so I'm doing a little jig this morning.

These are wonderful shots. I especially like to one you put in your header.
Brazen red Anemones, gorgeous.
With all the rain his year the flowers, even here in Philadelphia, are ravishing.
Your pics are brilliant.
Wonderful color and details!
I have never seen this flower before, and what a treat to see! Great details, and gorgeous colors!
That is quite remarkable, brava! They are lovely, with the black background. I would be dancing too!
I love how the light of the sun makes the flowers just shine with beauty.
They are very pretty! Love the splashes of white!
Well done indeed! And what a stunning colour!
I like the second one, too - the angle of the flower on the right is perfect.
Very pretty! They make a great header! You done good, girl!
Dear Jan,
Thanks. I thought I'd give my header a summer palette for a spell.
Dear CC,
Brazen is a good word for these. I love their purple stamens and the shadows they cast.
Dear Kala,
Thanks!
Dear Mumsy,
Anemones have a relatively short season in the spring; I love their showy colors.
Dear Ruth,
I was happy to find them at the flower mart and loved photographing them too.
Dear Marilyn,
Very observant of you, Marilyn.
Dear Lisa,
The white gives this flower a bit of a Dr. Seuss look, don't you think?
Dear Jay,
Thank you for noticing that flower in the corner. I cropped that little vignette out of a far larger photo because I liked the attitude of the top right one.
Dear Susan,
Glad you like the new header. It's a tad to narrow but I promised myself that I would not obsess over my header because that's a dangerous road to travel...
I love red and I love flowers.
perfect!
They're like whirling dervishes, DB! Gefeliciteerd. :)
Dear California Girl,
Welcome to Dutchbaby! I love your name! I'm so glad you enjoyed these red flowers.
Dear Ginnie,
Perfect description!
