Wishing you all a happy holiday season.
I snapped these photos when I had lunch with my mother and sister at the always-elegant Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto.
Even though it's not cold here this Christmas day, this duet by Norah Jones and Willie Nelson reflects the spirit of the season perfectly.

Beautiful and festive, DB...so Christmasy. Thank you. Celebrate another Christmas Day today! :)
Gotta love Nora and Willie together. :)
Merry Christmas, Dutchbaby, and it's always a great gift to hear this wonderful duet with Willie Nelson and Nora Jones. The best—George.
Hope you enjoyed a Merry Christmas, DB.
And wishing you a very Happy New Year 2012.
Lovely pictures, and love the duet.
What a beautiful series of photographs!
I especially love the first one.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and I wish you a very Happy New Year.
Christmas day has flown past, but I had to stop a moment and wish you all the joys of the season. May you be blessed and know it each day. Love you! ~ Relyn
never heard this version of this tune. Thanks! Happy Holidays and may your 2011 end filled with joyful friends
I have been away then have been sick so I am behind again. I read your past posts and marveled at the quilts. My husband has kept all his ties – I was going to give them away but after looking at the tie quilt I may try to make one someday (when I have the time….)
Your post on the Galapagos was so informative and beautiful. That must have been such a great trip – a feast for the eyes for sure. Your first photo on your post on Happy Holidays is exquisite. Being in bed until yesterday I missed decorating the house this year. We are going to celebrate late, for New Year. I hope you have a great New Year.
Happy Christmas!
I hope you had a great time with your family.
Did you enjoy your turkey?
I forget... and cannot check at the moment... do I owe you another email for after the holidays? Seems like there were additional questions for me to address... I swear the time got away from me this past month... had written a holiday post for my blog on Dec 22nd and finally got around to publishing it yesterday... HA!
Meanwhile... these images are gorgeous and very festive... once I'm home again I will try to remember to check my email so I can answer what is still pending. Happiest of Holidays (what's left) and best wishes for a stellar 2012!
Elegant indeed!
Dear Ginnie,
I vicariously enjoyed the second day of Christmas through your posts. Thank you!
Dear George,
Thank you and Happy New Year to you! I was very happy that I ran across this Jones/Nelson clip. I'm glad you enjoyed it also,
Dear CC,
Thank you and I hope you are enjoying the holidays as well. I adore your New Year's illustration.
Dear lisa,
Yes, thank you, we had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's Eve. I wish you a Happy New Year!
Dear Relyn,
Thanks for your warm wishes. I wish you and your family a fantastic 2012! xxox
Dear Stratoz,
Another year of joyful friends sounds perfect. Thank you.
I wish you and Margaret another creative and prolific year!
Dear Vagabonde,
I'm so sorry you've been so ill.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my older posts. I hope you can carve out some time to make that tie quilt because I think it's a wonderful design.
The good thing about not decorating your house is that you don't have to take all down now.
I wish you a happy and healthy new year!
Dear London Caller,
Thank you, we had a delicious turkey with all the trimmings for Thanksgiving and a fantastic beef brisket for Christmas.
Happy New Year to you!
Dear Victoria,
Thanks for offering your help in selecting my next camera. My daughter is ready to take back her Canon Rebel. I wondered what brought you back to Nikon after using the Canon.
I wish you a year of adventure and joy!
Dear EG Wow!
Happy New Year to you!
